It is our greatest pleasure and utmost delight to announce that the award winning Hadleigh 2012 Legacy 10k returns for another stupendous race-day in 2024!

This means that we are working with a host Partner Organisation and providing timing and/ or race management services for their event.

Event Overview:
This popular event offers a unique opportunity to test your stamina and endurance. You can expect a challenging but exhilarating course with spectacular views and be prepared to conquer hills, more hills, mud and more mud! This race is organised by Nice Work on behalf of Castle Point Joggers.

This year, we will be introducing an elite wave; details of this will be included in the race-day info sent out via email a few days before the event. 
We are also pleased to announce that Liam Winters Photography will be returning to Hadleigh to capture your best race-day moments. Your free photos will be ready to view after the race. 

Course Details:
This is a challenging but hugely enjoyable off-road 10k using part the footpaths and trails set within the grounds of Hadleigh Castle. Due to the time of year, the course is likely to be muddy! It is a two lap route and you can expect some tough inclines along with sections that use the grass fields and footpaths surrounding the park. Be prepared to negotiate the odd kissing gate and, to provide an extra challenge, there are also a couple of short sections with rocks and boulders. 

The course has been measured using GPS but, because of its multi terrain nature, it  cannot carry a certificate of course accuracy. The route will be clearly marked using large route arrows and directional cones, as well as being marshalled throughout. The circuit is officially closed and, although we have secured special permission from Essex County Council to stage the run, there may be the occasional walker and dog walker, so you should exercise care whilst running.

Directions

By Car:
There is parking available on site (charges will apply).  Please follow the signs to direct you and follow the marshal’s instructions. The car park is a short walk from the Race HQ, but if you need to be closer to the Race HQ for disability reasons, please email us and we will be able to direct you where to go.

By Train:
The closest railway station to the event is Benfleet, but you may need to get a taxi to the Race HQ. It is a 2.5 mile walk from the station to the Race HQ.
