UK Running Series is proud to present the Hastings Run Talk Run Challenge set to take place along the stunning promenade of Hastings in East Sussex on Sunday 25th September 2022. This is the second event of the UKRS South East England Challenge and we will be raising funds for Run Talk Run.

ABOUT HASTINGS
Hastings is one of the UK’s most famous seaside towns. The town is steeped in history and offers all the charm of a traditional seaside town from the Castle, fishing quarter and the Old Town in the East, through to the funfairs and amusement arcades of Pelham Place. The town also boasts a renovated pier and a stunning promenade backed by grand whitewashed Edwardian hotels.
SOUTH-EAST ENGLAND CHALLENGE
This is the 2nd event of the 5-race series covering the counties of Kent, Surrey, Hampshire, East Sussex and West Sussex. The event is limited to 150 runners and is guaranteed to sell out quickly. All finishers will receive a bespoke medal and there will be awards for the Top 3 finishers in the Open and Masters in each category.
Our aid stations are vegetarian and vegan-friendly and we follow a strict COVID-19 protocol.
DISTANCES:
Adults (Age 16+): 21.1K, 10K & 5K
COST:
HM: £25.00 (Affiliated)
10K: £17.00 (Affiliated)
5K: £12.00 (Affiliated)
For non-affiliated adult runners, there is an additional £2 fee.
START TIMES:
09:00 AM: Half Marathon
10:00 AM: 10K
10:30 AM: 5K
The course will officially close at 12 noon for all distances.
BIB COLLECTION:
The registration desk will open at 8:15AM and will close 15 minutes before the start of each race.
WHAT'S INCLUDED:
1) Aid Station at the Start / Finish.
2) Race Bib.
3) First aid support.
4) Course marshals.
5) Public liability insurance.
6) Custom-designed finisher's medal for all distances.
In an effort to make our events as environmentally friendly as possible, all our events are cup-less. We will provide water but you will need to bring your own refillable bottle.
AWARDS:
There will be awards for Top 3 finishers in the following categories.
1) Top 3 Open (Under 40s) Male / Female in HM, 10K & 5K
2) Top 3 Masters (Over 40s) Male / Female in HM, 10K & 5K.
The Award ceremony will start at approximately 11:30 AM.
COURSE:
The course is a 5K out and back route stating at the Stade along the promenade on a mix of gravel and tarmac. The complete course is traffic free.
21.1K: 1 loop of 1.1K followed by 4 full out and back loops of 5K.
10K: Two out and back loops of 5K.
5K: One out and back loop of 5K.
TOILETS:
Toilets are located at the Stade and along the promenade.
LOCATION & PARKING:
The race HQ and start will be located at the Stade, Rock-a-Nore Rd, Hastings TN34 3DW
Public Transport: The closest bus stop to the start point is opposite the Stade and served by bus numbers 20, 100 and 101.
Train: The closest train stations is Hastings (approximately 20 minutes walk from the start point).

FREE RACE PLACES:

REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS:
Should the event need to be cancelled, postponed or rescheduled due to any reason beyond our control, all entries will be automatically transferred to the following local event. Due to the expenses incurred in organising these events, we are only able to offer a transfer and are unable to offer any form of refund.
