The Tybie 10K is a brand new multi-terrain race or walk showcasing some of the best unknown trails around Llandybie.
Starting from the village rugby club, participants will be given a whistle stop tour of Llandybie's industrial heritage.
This challenging race has something for everyone; with lung busting climbs, a community atmosphere and a walking option.
The Tybie 10K joins a growing calendar of local races organised by the Amman Valley Harriers and is a collaboration with Llandybie Community Council.
We’re really looking forward to welcoming you to our 10K trail race/challenge! Before race day and entering , we just wanted to give everyone a little more information about the route so you know what to expect. This is a genuine trail challenge, with a fairly demanding and varied course that includes natural obstacles such as mud, uneven ground, rocky paths, slopes and other sections of challenging terrain. The route is particularly suited to runners with some previous trail-running experience, but beginners and less experienced runners are absolutely welcome to take part. We simply recommend adjusting your pace to suit the conditions and your own ability. There may be sections where slowing down or walking is the safest and most sensible option, particularly where the ground is muddy, rocky or uneven. Remember, it’s a challenge, so there’s no pressure to run every step! Most importantly, come prepared, enjoy the challenge and stay safe!
All profits from the race will be donated to charities.
