The Race

The Bognor Prom 10k is now in its 26th and the junior fun run has been an integral part of the big day providing the opportunity for younger runners to get involved. This is a FUN run with the emphasis on fun there is no timing and no winners it’s all about getting active and having some fun.

The Route

The Junior Fun run is a flat 1.5k course. The route starts and finishes at the main Bognor Prom 10k Start finish line in Silverston Avenue.

Where the public highway is used the road would be closed. The course is marshaled throughout and until all runners have completed the course. All finishers will receive a goody bag and medal - to be worn with pride!

Race Details

When: Sunday 22nd May 2022 at 09:15 am

Where: West Park, Bognor Regis, PO21 2RB (Event HQ is can be found in the Race Village Marquee in West Park. Access is via Silverston Avenue).

Timing: It’s a FUN RUN!

Entry Fees: £3.50 (inc postage)

Race Numbers: Race Numbers will be posted, we will start shipping these from Mid-March.

Entries on the Day: None - No entries on race day so sign up here to guarantee a place.

Warm Up: A warm up for the fun runners will be conducted at 09:00 on the main stage in the race village.

Course: The course is on surfaced roads and a portion of the beautiful seafront promenade.

Facilities: Toilets are available but there are no changing facilities or bag drop available. Please arrive ready to run wherever possible.

Spectators: Spectators can watch from anywhere on the course.

Car Park: Please arrive early and follow the local signposted route, not your satnav. If you need to leave early, please display the “Fun Run Only Parking badge” from the fun run race instructions in your windscreen, upon arrival, and you will be directed to a space near the exit. Parking is provided at your own risk. Please vacate the car park by 02.30 pm.

Safety

Race: Runners may not run with dogs or cyclists. All runners 8 years and under MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times. Runners MUST display their run number on the front of their clothing; all personal details must be completed on the reverse of their run number. Runners and guardians must follow any instructions given by all event officials including marshals. Any parents wishing to run with a buggy or wheelchair, we would ask you please to start at the back to ensure the safety of others and yourself.

Lost Children: Before the run, please familiarise yourself and your child with Race Headquarters which is situated by the main stage in West Park. Any lost children will be taken there and the telephone number on the reverse of their run number will be contacted to reunite them.
