Fantastic race! It’s tough and you’ll know you’ve earned the incredible views. Brilliantly organised and marshalled. This is what trail running should be!
Excellent 10k with a great atmosphere
Great for a beginner, like myself, to hit some challenging hills and technical trails
Beautiful marathon, with fantastic views and amazing marshalls
The sun shone, it was a great course around Portland with sea views most of the ways round, plus cliffs, pastures and lighthouses (the out and back across Ferry Bridge was a bit boring, but that is the price to be paid to experience the rest of Portland).
Marshalls positioned and key points were super supportive - they were all a real asset to the event.
One or two hills if you like that sort of thing!
Stunning course, superb organisation
As others have said, wear proper, mud gripping trail shoes. It gets seriously slippery in places. Marshals fantastic, like, really fantastic.

A tough first mile up Merchant's Hill, but then a pleasant run around Fancy's Farm, the prison and top of Portland, with beautiful views of the coast
I bloody loved this event, scenery & atmosphere was amazing. A great adventure around the Isle. My first time doing it & I will definitely be back!
Challenging but fun. It massively helped that the sun was shining.

So well run. Thank you! Such lovely enthusiasm and help on the route. One or two places where direction wasn't easy but in all very clear to follow and take part and take away great memories. Lovely fellow runners being kind and cheery. Thank you so much.
I may be biased but……
I love Portland. I will run on the island as often as I can. But running an event on the island with BUSTINSKINS makes it a little more special. The organisation and support is always spot on. Yes this event is a fought but if you survive Portland Coastal whatever distance you choose you will survive any event.

The 1st mile or so was absolutely brutal, certainly changes the girls from the women and the boys from the men
Genuinely cannot fault the organisation, briefing and all the people involved.
Will try the 1/2 next year for an even better look around the area.

A Great run, for all abilities, the hill is a bit of a challenge ☺️
From start to finish you felt comfortable and confident. Very well set up and organised. Easy to follow instructions and directions.
A challenging hill enroute but worth the effort just for the view.
