Posture Morning

This workshop focuses on an often neglected, but really important part of our biomechanics. Poor posture is synonomous with issues such as muscle imbalance, tightness and pain, compromised stability, chronic joint problems and the really common one - back pain! For competitive athletes, it's an area that definately needs attention too - poor posture can have a massive impact on performance, whatever the discipline.

The workshop will involve a 1 hour Nordic Walk - learning how to use poles effectively to gain a good dynamic posture, and these can also be used for aerobic conditioning when used in a certain way. Wwe shall also touch on running technique with poles (running not compulsory for everyone!). You'll learn to be upright, yet relaxed and engage the right muscles to move well and efficiently. Then, we'll head back to base for a postural strength exercise session - using body weight and resistance bands to target the right muscles to promote balance and good posture. Finally, s stretch and mobility session will teach you what areas to focus on to help correct postural issues and ease the associated problems that come with it!

So, a really helpful morning for everyone - whether your prorities are health and pain reduction or improvement in performance as an athlete, come and join in!
