Beautiful setting, good signposting and good amount of marshalls plus a friendly atmosphere
It’s a challenging course but helped greatly by the lovely surroundings and encouraging marshalls along the route.
Sofie Logan
Lovely!
Chris Balkwill
Really enjoyed it
Really well mashalled and sign posted, yes it's a bit of a walk to the start and then back to the car but I loved it.
Lisa Hodges
Number pick-up was seamless but walk to start-line wasn’t clear or marshalled and was far too long.
Sue Adcock
Had a thoroughly enjoyable run!
Esther Hetterley
Beautiful place to run
One or 2 places could have done with a bit better signage
Phil Hales
The loveliest 10k route ever
I’ve run it five times and it is really well organised, communicated and marshalled. It is definitely the nicest 10k route I’ve ever run, although a slight change to this years finish was a challenge! I recommend it to everyone I know, it’s a great 10k.

Lovely event
Only downside was 3 toilets was probably not enough

Fantastic race to enter!
There was available parking. Numbers collection was very well organized. Beautiful walk to the start line. Toilets and bad drop were near the start line. Amazing scenery during the race. Fantastic Marshalls cheering you on the way. Beautiful place for finish line and lots of nice places to rest after collecting medal. Medal was really classy.
My first 10 k race. Very positive Experience in very friendly and supportive atmosphere.

Marshalled
Hayley Roberts
Fabulous trail run, bit hilly but nothing major, def recommend- make sure you build extra 30mins to walk to race start from car park & back.
If you want to try trail running, this is a great one to try your legs on!

Bar has been set!
First organised run event I have participated in and the bar for future ones has been set very high now. Appreciate the efforts by all involved in organising, it was seamless and very well put together. Fantastic route through the woods, will be back next year!
Elise Hardy
One of my favourite 10k events

Ann Robinson

Will definitely be back!
Sammo Nigh
A lovely day out with beautiful scenery!
Loved it, will definitely be back for the reasons above.
I'm very pleased I read about in the walk to the start in the pre-event email. It is a fair walk so make sure you're parked and have your race number with at least 30 minutes to spare for the 15/20 in walk to and from the start/finish.

To far to start
This was my first Rayleigh 10k not surprising I was last male totally happy but knackered the walk back was far to long. Only on that probably would nor enter again would be a bitch in the rain
Gary Richardson
I won't be entering again
Enjoyed the course and I thank the volunteers. But why is the registration so far from the start. I was told it was all very clearly signposted, if a miscellaneous arrow in a village can count as signed (no actual words) heard many people didn't go to the correct place at the start. Couldn't hear the announcements at the beginning. As for "organise yourself into where you think you might place" is ridiculous. Granted the weather in the build up didn't help. But walking pace gridlocked through single narrow paths doesn't work. Perhaps wave release would have helped. At least I thought I might appear in a few photos.....no.... photographer ignored me at the start preferring to take pictures of large groups either side of me....erm...hello...I'm here. I thought that's ok, I'll be in some of the pictures along the route or as a minimum on the finish line......nope, that didn't happen either. I'm not sure how or why people are saying this is a great event.
