Brilliant run
As a blind runner, who does not run with a guide, I feel very safe out on these runs. As the event is well organised and I know that Jeff knows I am out on the course.
Disappointing
The start was delayed because people had to queue to get their numbers and not enough people to deal with the amount of them. Car park entry fees should have been taken on the gate and not 'trusted' for people to pay at the visitor centre. The cafe was not serving food until after 10am which for people arriving early and for people with special needs i.e diabetics like my husband this was needed. just as well we had some supplies in the car!!!. The Mayor was not 'properly informed' of the history of the race and made a rather hap-hazard speech for the very short time he was there. Not even time for photos!. And then there was 'the hill!'.....ok going down but to then put a 1k hill in at the end especially for beginners i definately wouldnt recommend it. Also, the 10k runners were running out and back past the slower 5k runners.
Killer last 1km
Very good.
Challenging
Challenging but good. The hills were tough, but I remembered that those who fought/died in the wars faced tougher challenges, all I had to do was run up a hill so I shouldn’t complain!! Army guys near top of final hill helped with encouragement. Loved the event and will do again next year.
Enjoyable especially as a result of closed roads
Would certainly compete again
Awesome run and very emotional - loved it - please do it again next year x
a really nice morning and supporting such a worthy memorial
We had a great time - the rain stopped, the clouds lifted and the stunning views appeared, Timeless were amazing and such a fitting warm-up!, marshals / organisers did a great job, very friendly event for all standard of runner, nice medal and a very tough hill at the finish to make you feel you earned it! well done to all involved!
Great event, thank you.
An all-round great event, thank you.
Minor quibbles - 1 could do with more car parking (or a park-and-ride system) 2 could do with more toilets and more toilet servicing (toilet paper) 3 might be good to have boxes for collection of discarded water bottles.
It might also be nice to have a no-medal option, perhaps with reduced price or option to donate the extra. It was great to see no goody bags full of junk.
Thank you for a very good day.
Brilliant event
Very helpful organisers who go out of their way to ensure competitors enjoy the event and support a great cause, thank you everyone
Beautiful route for a Rememrance Run. Lovely to see so many runners all paying their own special tribute
Hills hills and more ruddy hills

Singers were very good. Thank you
It was well run, but the hills.
The girls that sang at the warm up, were wonderful. They could do with them on the Remembrance on TV.
ParkIng was good, also the venue. Thank you
Not my first Rural Running event and certainly not my last! Loved the atmosphere as usual and great organisation and marshalling. Thank you
