I great race for a great cause with lovely hills.
A tough course but worth the effort
It was not an easy run, cold, rain and hills and I thought I was going to vomit going up the last hill to the monument. But it was not meant to be easy and it should have been challenging for the cause we were running for. I am pleased with my results and I am proud to have been a part of this. Particularly significant that it started and finished at Fort Nelson. I have already signed up for next year. Oh and the medal was beautiful, worth it just for that!!!!!!

Total beginners may struggle with the hills but you can always walk!
Lovely challenging route
Needs to be easier to collect your number - very slow. Split the alphabet and have more people handing out the numbers. Organisation at start wasn’t the best either - could only just hear the last post.

Last post played on bugle at start followed by minutes silence was very emotional. Lovely medal. Fantastic marshals.
Flat it is not
Love this race. It's one of my must do races in the year. To remember those before us.
It is also my way to purge all the swear words I know in one 5k hill. Makes me feel awesome at the end and determined that one year I'll make it all the way up. Brill organisation . Brill Marshall's. Fabulous medal

Very good run
I got there early to get bib number but maybe have 2 lines for 5k/10k for late comers of 10k. Or some1 directing 10k to front of the second line
This is now my favourite 10k race. I've done it for the last 3 years and it always challenges me.

Lovely scenic run with some challenging hills to add to the fun.
Always difficult giving out numbers on the day. Also a lot of runners now use event clips instead of pins so perforations on numbers are always welcome.
