Perfectly perfect ultra trail running ❤️

This was my first time over this distance. I was overwhelmed by the support and encouragement by fellow seasoned ultra runners. Mosf importantly the support of the volunteers at the aid stations.... happy caring and super human! If only the world was full of these amazing caring folk , what a happy loving caring place it would be. THANK YOU the TRA! I’m back next year ❤️

Excellent value event, a historic route, amazing checkpoints and support. This is as good as any event out there!!

The Ridgeway Challenge 86 mile is a tough, non-stop trail race travelling the length of a 5000 year old neolithic track. It passes the Bronze age Uffington white horse, ancient hill forts of Barbury and Liddington Castle and Chequers to name a few. The organisation is excellent, and all checkpoints are run by local running clubs who totally understand the needs of the competitors. The event has 2 start times, allowing a more generous cut-off time for slower runners. It also hosts the UK Trail Running Championships and attracts a lovely mix of elite runners, club runners, and anyone who has run a 30 mile or more ultra in the previous 12 months and fancies having a go. At less than £1 per mile, with a top quality technical tshirt, some serious bling for all finishers, transport from local train stations and hotels at the start, and to the nearest station at the finish, free photos....... it's hard to think how this event could be better.
