Great fun! Very well organised

It was a really fun race on some lovely scenic trails. Extremely well organised, there were plenty of water stations on a very hot day, well signposted and marshalled. Having the Rye town crier address the assembled runners on the start line was a nice touch! I must say I expected a timing mat at the 30km turnaround to prevent people shortcutting but hey ho. Would be nice to see the results on powerof10/runbritianrankings. And I'd just suggest some shade by the finish line on a hot day as I had to choose between shade and water. I'll definitely be back next year!

Excellent event, well organised, one of my favourite races.

Superb event, well marshalled and plenty of drinks stations (thankfully). A bit too hot for it this year but I still enjoyed it.

Numerous water stations and very friendly marshal's. Great organisation on such a hot day. Loved the towner crier at the start too.

Queuing 10 minutes for stiles affected my time

I had trained for this, its a shame that I and a lot other runners in midfield or at the back had to wait and queue for a long time to get over stiles near the start. I appreciate stiles and gates happen on all trails, but I think being stationary for 10 minutes makes training and fitness secondary to where you stand at the start of the race. Apart from that a lovely race in scenic villages and views. Rye harbour might better as a route?

Great overall, one letdown

The split for the 30km and 15km was not clear, did not notice any signage, despite the remainder of the route being well matked, apparently verbal direction was given, unfortunately for me and my group of friends none of us heard this which resulted in us travelling 3km along the 15km route at the split before realising our mistake and making our way onto our 30km route, this resulted in additional mileage and time. That aside the remainder of the event was lovely, great atmosphere and very scenic, would recommend.

Brilliant!

Congratulations to Nice Work! Route marking and marshalling was outstanding! Well administered water points to combat 28C heat! Well done!

Another well organised Nice Work event, the only thing they could of done to improve it was to turn the Sun down :-)

Well organized, awesome route, well marshaled with friendly faces and the additional water stops were a massive welcome

outstanding Ancient Trails to be run

with regards to the weather being very hot it was fabulous to have water stations every 3 miles and an abundance of water.
Maybe nice to have melon oranges at the odd water station too. I couldn't eat the cake that was on offer at the turn around point .

Great day out

Maybe a bit more accurate on the 28k sign had to ration water out on a hot day proved to be over 2 miles to finish ( value for money

Challenging way to see beautiful East Sussex countryside

This trail is one of my favourites! Across fields, through shaded woodland with a few roads thrown in! Amazing Marshalls and support from the villagers. Very well organised with water stations every 3 miles. The amount of preparation that goes into these races to ensure the safety and welfare of the runners/walkers is huge. Great atmosphere at the finish with the opportunity for a well deserved cup of tea from the local Brownies ☺️ and a massage from Pod Plus.

Challenging but very beautiful

Brilliant local race, difficult conditions today in 27C heat but the marshals were amazing. Fantastic facilities in a beautiful little town. Perfect

Tough but very rewarding

This course is perfect for all levels of you have mental toughness…it’s not a fast course in either the 15k/30k but if pace yourself and take in the scenery you’ll have an amazing experience..

Bit shout out to the organisers “Nice Work” did everything they could to ensure competitor’s safety especially in todays extreme conditions…thank you x

Excellent race and organizer!

The hottest race known to me. The team went above and beyond to look after all runners. They doubled up on the water stations.
Plenty of water and other treats.
Huge thanks for the race director and all of the volunteers. Awesome bunch. Kudos to all of you for embracing that heat and manning all relevant turn points. Excellent team!

Fantastic race, fantastic scenery, fantastic support, fantastic organisation

This would be difficult, I know, but given the forecast conditions of basically, hot, hot, hot, would it be possible to change the start time to an hour earlier? This could be included in the race notes email.
Could the water stations have plain biscuits as well as jelly babies?
Great race though; thanks to all
