This means that this is an original Nice Work race, fully hosted and organised by us.

Event Overview:
This race was originally scheduled to take place on Sunday 21st January as our New Year celebration in Sherwood.
However, due to high winds forecast by the Met Office, Sherwood Pines informed us that the site would be closed on this day and so the event was postponed to Sunday 2nd June 2024. All runners registered to race the New Year event were contacted via email.

And now, we invite you to join us for a slightly late, slightly sunnier iteration of this wonderful forest race! If that New Year's resolution to get yourself race-fit is still twirling about your brain, then why not join us in the picturesque forest of Sherwood Pines, for the Sherwood (postponed New Year) 10k and 5k?
Great for seasoned pros or total newbies and the route's gorgeous greenery is sure to motivate any runner to the finish.

Course Overview:
The routes follow a scenic course within Sherwood Pines.  This is a looped course which spans through the naturally undulating trails within the forest. Once part of the ancient Sherwood Forest, the park is the largest of its kind in the East Midlands.  Throughout the race, runners will make their way along dirt tracks flanked by the towering woodland. It's a real treat!

The 10k course is a two lap route whilst those running a 5k race will complete only one lap.

Directions

By Car:
Sherwood Pines is located in the Heart of Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire, on the B6030 east of Kings Clipstone.   There will be parking at the event, and the fee is included in the cost of your ticket.

By Bus:
Take the number 14 or 15 to Kirton or Walesby from Mansfield bus station. Buses run every half hour Monday-Saturday and every hour on Sundays.
