• 5 miles in the Essex Countryside, this is the perfect race to start your weekend. 
• Welcome to the best race in Essex. Don't take our word for it, last year this race won the prestigious Howard Williams award for the best race in Essex. 
• Whether your stepping up to 5miles after all those parkruns, chasing that PB, or just wanting to enjoy the atmosphere of running with 300 other likeminded runners and have fun, this is the race for you.
• 5 miles is the perfect distance for all those budding 5k runners wanting to take the next step and the best bit is you receive a free Burger at our post race BBQ.
• Early bird entries will end at the end of April with prices increasing from the 1st May so don't delay.
• We have sold out in the last few years and there will be no entries on the day. Once the race is sold out a waiting list will operate for those no longer able to take part to transfer their place.
• The race will be Chip Timed and consists of a 2 lap course on quiet country lanes around the beautiful Essex Village of Pleshey, near Chelmsford.
• There will be individual and team prizes up for grabs too.
• All runners are welcome to join in the post race BBQ, swap your race number for either a free burger or vegetarian option. There will also be refreshments available to purchase.
• Organised and marshalled by runners. Run under UK Athletics Rules.

Free Car Parking will be availble on the village field behind the village hall. Please do not park in the roads in Pleshey itself or obstrut the Church. Please car share where possible as parking is limited.
