There is something very special about seeing the sun rise above the hills, feeling frost underfoot and being out before most people roll out of bed. Combine this with a delicious cup of Christmas coffee and you’ll have the best energy boost you can get to kick start the festive season.
Embrace Adventures has teamed up with top local coffee roaster, Chimney Fire Coffee to offer a sunrise guided walk followed by entry to Chimney Fire’s Christmas Bash including including lots of coffees to try, mince pies, tastings with Head Roaster Elizabeth Furth, exclusive discounts, and more.". And £5 of the ticket price will go to the Royal Entomological Society.
Meeting just before dawn at Chimney Fire HQ , Denbies we will wind our way up the hillside to catch the first glimpse of the new sun behind Box Hill and continue on to Ranmore Common to see Dorking bathed in the warm glow of a new day. After stopping to take in the view we will head back to join other Chimney Fire guests taste the new Christmas coffee blend and other treats.
Meet: 7:20am for a 7:30am start.
Distance: 6.5km approximately 2 hours of walking. Head out from Denbies up to Ranmore Church. Turn around point at Steers Field.
Suitable for: easy walk with some steeper hard packed trail sections. Pace is social
Price of ticket: £13 (£5 of each ticket goes to The Royal Entomological Society, insects to you and I)
Please wear footwear suitable for walking on trails and warm clothing, hats and gloves.
