Swim Skills Sessions

If you have your eye on a swim event this year, perhaps a distance swim or a triathlon/swimrun, or if you want to improve your swimming skills then come along to our any or all of our 4 training sessions at Longside Lake, Egham.

Each session will focus on a different aspect including stroke technique, swimming in a pack, sighting, training for a long swim, mark rounding and much more. Plenty of time to learn and practise new skills to make you a better and more confident swimmer. 

Individual session: £15 or book first 3 and get 4th free. (£45)

Mon 5th Sep - Session 1: Body position, sighting, mass starts, how to train for a long swim

Mon 12th Sept - Session 2: Bilateral breathing, buoy rounding, pack swimming, fuelling for long swims

Mon 19th Sept - Session 3: Efficient stroke and pace, drafting, kit and what to wear

Mon 26th Sept - Session 4: Regaining your composure, 'transitions', training plans

Small group sessions open to anyone swimming front crawl or breaststroke, skins and suits. 

Led by Open Water Swim Coaches and experienced event swimmers Paul MacKenzie and Jude Palmer. 

Time: 6pm- 7pm
