Beautiful, gently undulating course rewarded with a brilliant medal
Lovely course. Very friendly, enthusiastic volunteers. Well positioned aid stations with the usual treats. Handy toilets at the start line, available every loop. Lots of fairly priced parking available. The medal is a piece of Yorkshire-centric joy.

Great location, friendly marshals, a good family atmosphere, nice medal, not forgetting the hot soup.
I love the Grim Up North events, this must be my 6th or 7th event with them this year. You get what you see on the tin and an all round well run business. Great for beginners, in fact my first ever 15 miler was with Grim Up North, now I have run multiple marathons and an Ultra with them. It’s nice to see the familiar faces and a nice smile and welcome.

Fabulous
it was an absolute joy running this race this morning, the course has stunning views of the Reservoirs and the course itself is great a few minor ups and down but nothing to strenuous. The course was well signposted and the marshals and organisers were really helpful and encouraging as always! Medal and food afterwards excellent. All in all great event definitely do it again next year, we'll worth the 5 hour journey from London!!!

Beautiful Autumn Route
A fabulous route with the leaves turning. The reservoir and the surrounding woodland look amazing. The route is maintained trail but it is very undulating (including a couple of nasty slopes.)
I put "maybe" to the question "beginner friendly" as it might not suit all, especially those used to the flat and I wouldn't recommend as a first 10k.
