Superb Event

Great event and lovely route. I entered the 40. My only gripe was the distance between the 1st and 3rd checkpoint. Would benefit from adding another checkpoint as it was a bit of a slog between 1 and 2 and the 2 and 3.
Apart from that I intend to do this event again in the future
Beautiful and interesting route
Having run many trail ultra races, this one is definitely in my top 5! Ran with my husband, his first 50 miler. What organisers did well: great car parking: indoor start for warmth with hot drinks; Didn’t feel like a race, more like a challenge in the beautiful countryside; No litter; Extra station as needed; bus to start; awesome slate coaster medal; friendly finish. What to improve: GPS tracking for family & friends to follow. Pre-race online course debrief (for nervous first timers); Cola at every station with occasional melon and cheese sandwiches.
A huge thank you to all the Marshalls for safe road crossings and such enthusiastic stations! This makes a huge difference on a race. Will recommend this one to friends.

A well organised event with the most amazing scenery.
Great event with some amazing Marshalls, who were encouraging and supportive.
A very hot day made the water tight between aid stations. A more accurate knowledge of the distance between aid stations might have helped. Fortunately there were a few unofficial aid stations along the way.
The snacks at the stations and the end were perfect.
It was tough, but 50+ miles is never going to be easy.
If you’re going to try an ultra, give this one a go.
Well done to everyone involved.

Great route and really well organised race!
Thanks to all involved. This is a really nice route and was made quite a bit easier by the dry conditions. The marshals were really good, even running across the busy roads with you to make sure you get safely across. The aid stations were well stocked and the guys running them were so helpful. Special shout out to the last but one aid station where they grabbed my bottles and filled them for me! Echoing what others have said just one more water station between the last 2 stations would have been nice on a hot day like yesterday.
Overall really great day out. Loved the medal too!

Well organised and lovely views very runable and a nice finish

A great day out from all the team at And Over Trail events. Well organised, great route, fabulous scenery in the first half and a nice flat finish, and It's nearly all down hill.
Rafed Bachoore
Great event!
The distance between checkpoint 2-3 was to big in this heat. It would have been better if there was more water.
David Allan
Stunning route, well marked - too bad there were no swimming opportunities in the Test
Would have been perfect if the last CP was a few km earlier (on a hot day).
The short section along the south side of the M27 was a bit sketchy - brambles, dog mess and maybe not the safest path once dark.

Great event, no unnecessary fuss, it's all about the running!
Lovely venue to finish at - really nice to have somewhere comfortable to chill and recover after a long effort on the trails. Only suggestion for improvement would be to consider adding an extra aid station in the second half, even if just serving drinks. Thanks again, really enjoyed it!

Excellent well organised event with friendly & supportive marshalls.

A great day out
A great course with a great group of people behind it. Thanks to all at and-over trail events for a great day.

Fab for a first time 50!
As it was a very hot day, our little group would have found it a struggle to keep hydrated if it hadn’t been for a couple of chaps in a village offering unofficial water and snack and our support team/ popsicles brought down our core temperature! Maybe you could consider a couple of extra drink stops in v hot weather. Cut up oranges are easy to prep. I noticed the sausages were not so popular. Maybe crisps/pretzels. White bread and marg and marmite if someone had time! Also celery with peanut butter spread on. Volunteers could prep that whilst eating for the runners.
Loved the atmosphere and the support . Welcome at end was lovely too. Good trail markers apart from one.
Felt grand achieving my first 50 miler. Well done!

Challenging
The hills are a killer if you are not used to hills, nice mixed terrain .really easy ro navigate.

So well organised and professional but keeping a local friendly vibe
The medal was amazing.
Zoe Miara
Absolutely stunning route, really supportive people at the checkpoints, all round a greta day out!
The snacks were not very vegetarian-friendly as all the savoury ones had meat - I've found this at a few Andover events - would it be possible for future events to have veggie savouries as well?
