Date, time and location

Sunday 21st June 2026. Races start with the 2k kids race at 08:45. 21K starts at 09:15, 10K at 09:30 and 5K at 09:45. The races start on time as far as possible. It is the cometitors responsibility to be on the start line ready to go not the organisers responsibility to delay things to wait for them.

The Race Village is in McLaren Park which is on Horsell Common adjacent to the McLaren Technology Centre, Woking. If you have paid for car parking it is in the car Park at the McLaren Technology Centre (MTC). Enter from the roundabout on the A320. You will be directed to the car park by marshals. PLEASE HAVE THE CONFIRMATION AVAILABLE TO SHOW YOU HAVE PAID FOR PARKING or display the issued sticker (available if collecting bib/number from Run Through in Woking).

It caters for people walking/cycling, arriving by car and parking at MTC and those being dropped off. There is no route through MTC to the Race Village other than for those that have paid for parking. No pedestrian or cycle access through MTC to the Race Village. Please see the Race Day Info on the website. The link with arrival instructions will be sent to all competitors several times on the run up to the event.

Question 2

Change of race

You can change race prior to the event. Email martianracehorsell@gmail.com with your details and the change requested. There is a cutoff of 48hrs prior to the event. This is to allow the data to be given to the timing people. Applications can be made prior to the start at the Race Village and they will be actioned if time and facilities allow. It would mean issuing a different bib and number as the colour and number indicate to the Marshals and the timing people the distance. That is important where the route splits and also to ensure that your results reflect what you have done.

Race, parking and arrival instructions

These are all contained on our website. There will be an email sent to all runners to inform them of their running number and giving a link to the site where specific information will be available to hopefully answer most questions. Paid parking arrives at McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) where they will be directed by marshals. There is not a route through MTC for pedestrians or cycles. Separate routes are shown for these methods of arrival.

Question 4

Other parking.  Not at McLaren Technology Centre

Accepted Answer

Other parking is available a short distance from the start at Fairoaks Airport. This is not free and there are signs on site for payment. From the airport you exit on foot to Bonseys Lane and that leads you to a footpath that leads directly to the Race Village. Parking is subject to charges. It is paid for in the RinGo app.
