The Sri Chinmoy Grand Prix is a series of 2 Mile races each week from October to December 2021.
There are a total of 13 races.
Age categories
There are twelve age categories:
Men: Under 16, 16-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
Women: Under 16, 16-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
Individual Results
There will be results for each individual race, each week.
Grand Prix
There will also be results for the Grand Prix. To qualify for the Grand Prix, a runner must complete 10 of the 13 races. The 10 best times for a runner will be added together to create a total time for the Grand Prix rankings.
Super Hero Results
There will be a special result list of runners who complete all 13 races.
Race Course
Each week, the 2 mile race can be run on a course of your own choice adhering to local regulations on safety and social distancing. The course should be accurately measured or you can use a running app (strava, fitbit etc). Please submit an accurate and exact time - hours:minutes:seconds
Race Dates
The 2 mile race can be run on any of the 5 days leading up to the race date (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday each week). Each race has been named after one of the positive qualities highlighted in Sri Chinmoy's writings. The race dates are as follows:
Race 1: NEWNESS - October 4
Race 2: ASPIRATION - October 11
Race 3: DETERMINATION - October 18
Race 4: ONENESS - October 25
Race 5: COMPASSION - November 1
Race 6: COURAGE - November 8
Race 7: CHEERFULNESS - November 15
Race 8: DEDICATION - November 22
Race 9: CONFIDENCE - November 29
Race 10: DYNAMISM - December 6
Race 11: TRANQUILITY - December 13
Race 12: HAPPINESS - December 20
Race 13: DELIGHT - December 27
Submitting Times
Each runner should submit their time here on Eventrac by Monday 11pm (GMT) each week.
