Welcoming, small scale, local race - nice vibe and lovely routes. Having a nice hot curry afterwards is a real treat!

I love these Star Backyard events - low key, inexpensive, great terrain, and splendid veggie food afterwards :)

I go for back-to-basics racing but, as far as I can see, others treat a Star Backyard as: a step up into night running, a novel 10k (two-lap) challenge, or an exciting event for even quite young children.
Always well organised, always friendly.
