The Superior Ultra

Lake Superior is the largest of the Great Lakes of North America, the world's largest freshwater lake by surface area, and the third-largest freshwater lake by volume. It is shared by Ontario to the north, Minnesota to the west, and Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to the south.

We have an epic 1111 mile circular ultra virtual event for you! There are a few entry options for you, as follows:

The Superior Loop - the entire 1111 miles - 12 months to complete it, before the end of January 2022.

OR - you can tackle the loop in four shorter sections as follows:

Stage 1 - Duluth to Nipigon - 301 miles - West to North

Stage 2 - Nipigon to Sinclair Cove - 250 miles - North to East

Stage 3 - Sinclair Cove to West Ishpeming - 300 miles - East to South

Stage 4 - West Ishperming to Duluth - 258 miles - South to West

The Return - the entire 1111 miles back in the other direction!  

With a time limit of 12 months for the full Superior Loop or 4 months per individual stage - this could be just the thing to keep you motivated!  

A bespoke medal waits for you at the end of each stage and if you enter the Superior loop, we'll keep an eye on your progress to make sure that your medal arrives as you achieve each of the stages!

Automatic uploads will occur from your Strava account when you enable them via the link we will send with your confirmation of registration. The tracking software will give you an accurate positioning on the course maps to enable you to watch your progress and see where you rank against your friends. All you have to do is concentrate on the running!
