Well organised race that still has the personal touch

More support needed to park. Marshall’s just stood there glaring at me with car park full signs in their hands but no help to find on street parking. I was lucky I’ve been before. If you sell that many places you have some responsibility to help runners park sensibly in the local area.
Still waiting for chip time at 8pm this evening ?!

Brilliant event beautifully organised and marshsalled. Silky smooth

I think the cut off of 6 miles was a worry to some which is a shame as it would put off entries. Maybe a rolling start like the Steyning Stinger so that slower ru ners could start 30 minutes earlier?

A very tough course with lots of climbing, up into the downs, all windy and wild.! .Lovely, family friendly start, cheery volunteers and nice aid stations . Love it !

Only as to question 6 - a beginner could run this provided they have trained over the elevations etc - its the hills that kick your arse so to speak !

Great race. Friendly, helpful aid stations. Nice t shirt and medal plus lots of cake and bananas etc at finish. Tough route maybe not for beginners. Uneven underfoot means you have to watch where you put your feet rather than enjoy the scenery.

Might be useful to have space for runners details on the reverse of running numbers in case of emergency.

lovely race. hilly but not awful. could do with few more marshalls as you could take a wrong turn. though admittedly i’m terrible for going wrong on races

Absolutely loved it!

Great organisation (Rotary Club always seem to be supreme marshals), relaxed and friendly atmosphere, spectacular course scenery, challenging ups and lovely downs, Town Crier start, Mayor presenting medals, free snacks at the finish. Trail running heaven - if you've been thinking about it and thinking "The Tough One" sounds like it's only for "good" runners, worry not and just sign up. You'll not regret it, especially if you do it with friends.

My favourite race

I have now run the half marathon five times and the full marathon once. Beautiful route although tough terrain. Excellent aid stations, friendly marshals, awesome cake at the end. I love this race and will keep coming back.
