Helen one of the organisers, was standout. I registered on the Saturday and she took the time to walk and talk through the course. Really helped with my anxiety. Well organised and was put at ease.

Even though I thought I knew the course well including transitions, I still went out the wrong run out gate from T2. I went out the swim in gate. As a result I didn’t go over the timing mat, which wasn’t a problem as I still went over the one at the end of the first lap, but I was a bit disoriented and it might have been beneficial to have someone on the run out gate. Luckily someone shouted at me to turn left. Given that lots of novices do these events it might have been more confusing for them. However, that is my only negative. I thought it was a lovely event. The weather helped, but it was very well run all round. Thank you.

Swim times for waves are largely accurate but some people get it wrong and causes queueing in the pool. Is there an even better way of getting the right times from participants?

Although it may seem a walk in the park or a mere training day for seasoned triathletes, this was the perfect sized course for someone like myself who is new to triathlon. Can’t wait till the next one. Bring on the spring meet.

This is our sons 5th triathlon (3rd with Sportivia). We loved the buzz of today and it was great to see so many children entering. Thank you.

Incredibly friendly organisers. Thanks especially to Helen who went out of her way to help. A really fun event which has left me hungry to try a full sprint.

The best bit is the freedom that you have to walk around the course even when there are events are going on. Being able to do this takes all the stress out of the race and prevents the nightmare situation of a child going the wrong way!
