RACE ROUTE + INFORMATION
**This is a marked race, but we also recommend bringing a device with the route on it. We recommend OS maps. You can find the Wild Night Run route on here. Or Read our event information on our race manual. We are bringing back the King and Queen of the Night to light the way and to act as a beacon for the other runners. With prizes for the first runner who beats the King or Queen.
CATERING:
There will also be warm food, teas, coffees and muffins served up by Really Wild Coffee.
LIVE MUSIC + SAUNA
Runners can unwind and listen to live music and share a sauna at the Old School Community, after their run.** Use the code WILD20 to get a 20% discount when you book on to the WNR or MNR.
9 MILE ROUTE DESCRIPTION
The first three miles is mainly uphill following the river to Shipley Bridge with one or two brief descents to give you some respite. There is then a tarmac section (though still slightly uphill) before you get out onto Dartmoor, turning right at the Avon Dam and crossing below the Abbot’s Way and heading south east, and emerging near the boundary fence which takes you south, close to the head of the Harbourne exiting the moor near Dockwell farm. The route then heads back via the infamously muddy Brent Hill and Lydia Bridge.
5 MILE ROUTE DESCRIPTION
Starting at the South Brent Community Centre, the route follows the 9 mile course along the naptha lines up towards Shipley Bridge. At this point, the 5 mile runners split from the 9 mile runners and will turn right, up the hill. A challenging, hilly cross terrain route, mainly running on tarmac and paths - returning back to race HQ via Didworthy.
