Why Enter Early

Why should you enter EARLY?

Do you remember the days when you had to enter early, not only to secure your place as races often sold out but to keep the motivation going?

Then COVID hit and it got us all a bit jittery (Fortunately anyone who entered one of our races during that time had their entry protected)

This meant that in 2021, 2022, and in early 2023 we left entering races really late. Mainly because we could as there were plenty of races but also ‘just in case’ the race didn't happen.

Our 2023 New Forest Middle, Bournemouth, and Thruxton sold out. We had a waiting list of over 100 people for Bournemouth. This resulted in some people suffering from FOMO. We tried our hardest to warn people to enter to avoid the disappointment.

Then on the other hand, we had to cancel (don't worry everyone got a refund or a choice of a different event) Buccaneer and Downton half as when the time came for me to pay all the bills we did not have enough people entered. Ironically the days after I cancelled Downton i had FIFTEEN people enquire about entering! The likelihood is that these two events would have gone ahead if people had entered sooner.

2024 is looking really good. We have had a big surge in entries for Romsey 5 and Winchester 10K. Its looking like Romsey might even sell out before Christmas!

So why do we want you to enter sooner rather than later?

Reason 1 - Its CHEAPER for you! We open our 2024 full program tomorrow and there are some crazy early bird prices. The first 30 places until 30th Oct will be the cheapest you will ever see the tickets.

No Black Friday deal - You should know by now I hate Black Friday! We already have the entry fees at the best price, why should you have to wait until one day in November to make the most of those prices?

Reason 2 - Motivation to train and prepare! How easy is it to give up or skip sessions when you have ‘nothing to train for’. Make that commitment from the start.

Reason 3 - Protect your entry. There is an option to purchase refund protection (Its from a third party so check it out carefully when you enter). This means you can cover yourself for certain reasons you can't attend.

You can transfer your place to another person FREE of charge up to a week before the event day.

I'm also super proud of our pregnancy policy which it means you are able to have a full refund for any pregnancy-related issue.

Reason 4 - Don't worry if its not quite Millionaire day (Pay day) you can spread the cost.

Reason 5 - Makes our life easier! I can get the best deals on medals, and book the right amount of medics, safety marshals etc. We wont have to cancel events that could have happened, so please do me a favour and make it a tiny be easier ;) !

Our 2024 program has changed, its slimmed down with a few familiar events having a little break. We have absorbed the massive price rises with regards to suppliers (Loos going from £45.50 to £95!) but have had to get creative how we keep good value for money. So you will notice with all our 2024 events there is now an option to buy your finishers t-shirt, we have realised that not everyone wants a finishers t-shirt (Although they are AMAZING) so that was an easy way to keep the costs down.

So finally here are my predictions…

Romsey - Will sell out before 1st Jan

Winchester - Will have the highest number of entrants since 2020

Lanzarote Camp - Will sell out before end Nov

SFT - Will sell out

Huntsman - Will sell out

HHH - Will have more riders than 2023

Rattler - Isnt making a return

Holly Hill - Will create more new Triathletes than this year.

Swashbuckler - Will sell out

Swanage - Will have numbers near to 2019 again

New Forest Middle - Target to beat this year’s record breaking numbers!

Bournemouth - Will hit 500 entrants.

Winchester Half - Will have more runners than this year

Thruxton Mass Attack- Will sell out!

What do you think? We would love your feedback.
