Welcome to our first newsletter of 2024 as Embrace Adventures CIC.

Whether it be big or small, we love an adventure that helps us break out of our comfort zones, learn new things and share lots of fun with like minded people. Add in exploring stunning countryside and homemade cake, and you have the recipe for a great time.

Our diary for 2024 is buzzing with runswim and walk events in Surrey and further afield and we hope there is something to inspire you to join us whether you are a seasoned explorer or looking to do something for the first time.

A day or more:

  • Escape to the stunning Lake District for the weekend, enjoy guided dips, cosy accommodation and round it off by swimming the length of Derwentwater. Definitely one to tell your friends.
  • Tick off The Surrey 3 Peaks challenge by hiking to 3 of Surrey's highest Peaks to celebrate Surrey Day.
  • Get away from the hustle and bustle with a nearly wild camp at Gumber Bothy in Sussex. Relaxed walking through beautiful countryside.

Half day fun:

  • Fancy a relaxed trail marathon – join us as we run from Salisbury to Winchester along the Clarendon Way or circumnavigate Thorney Island on the south coast with a shorter 15km run.
  • Swim on the wild side with our guided swim-walk-explore of St Patrick’s stream. Read what Liz Edwards of The Sunday Times had to say when she joined us.

An hour or so:

  • Discover new routes and spice up your runs with night runs (7km plus) around The Surrey Hills
  • Enjoy the thrill of the chill with cold water dipping top tips and safety with coaching sessions at Longside Lake and Mercers Lake.

Look out for:

  • South East Swimrun Series! A new venue and a new distance to chose from
  • Navigation workshops going live soon!

Keen or curious about embracing your adventure for 2024, please get in touch.
