Overview
Organised by Wadhurst Runners, the Bewl 15 & 5 mile races return on 4th July 2026.
Once voted the sixth best race in the country by readers of Runner's World, the Bewl 15 & 5 follows the footpaths, trails and quiet country lanes of the around Bewl. It's a beautiful but challenging course that appeals to both endurance runners and those new to trail and wanting to explore a different kind of race.
These races are special as they are organised by runners for runners; enthusiastic marshals will support and encourage you the whole way round, and when the race is over, you'll be able to celebrate your achievement and enjoy the atmosphere with a free beer and cake on the finish line whilst the local brass band play in the background. It's these thoughtful details that make this race truly exceptional... All finishers receive a bespoke medal together with a commemorative t-shirt, spot prizes, trophies & cash prizes up for grabs and free parking for all (dependent on weather!) to make the race more accessible. It's no wonder that the Bewl 15 & 5 has such a loyal following of runners returning year after year. This is one race you'll never want to miss!
