The team are amazing. The events are so well organised and there is no stress like I can feel doing other events. The friendly atmosphere is always fantastic. I love this run along the canal from Kirkstall. Will do it again , 100%

Warm welcome
This was my first time taking part in an organised running event. I would highly recommend this event as all the marshals were so friendly and encouraging. I felt nervous but was quickly put at ease by all!

Great First Marathon
Me and my friend ran our first marathon. Great event! The organisers were great and we had a team morale passing all the other marathon runners along the canal. There was plenty of water and sweets and the turnaround points and lovely sunny day too!!
Had a huge support crew at the start/ finish which made it an amazing atmosphere and the most special day.
Few pointers that would maybe help:
- Signs along the route stating to the public there is a race on as was quite hard to run past dogs/ people at the end of the race.
- one portaloo at each end if possible

Nice and flat and plenty of treats!
I've done two races with Grim so far, one only had about 35 people and the other one had about 200!! So very different atmospheres as you can imagine. The staff are lovely and there was plenty of treats on the way as well as cakes and even hot dogs at the end (vegetarian and gluten free available)

I am a beginner would highly recommend
The organisers were fantastic great event

A little lacking
I was surprised at the lack of Marshalls, signage of miles and water stations to be honest. The Marshalls themselves were Wonderfully friendly. Also, slightly disappointed the medals didn't have a number on to indicate the distance, sadly.

Not a great race, too busy , boring and no race day feeling
As ever a fab event by GUN
Thank you to all
Matt Randerson

Quiet race
My first half marathon. Lovely scenery. It was a busy towpath and maybe good to put signs out to say what’s happening. Not a huge number of people running so didn’t get the race feel and very quiet at finish line. Lots of goodies at the end.
Would have like medal to say distance run.
Thanks for organising.

Lovely scenic run!
Really well organised event! I enjoyed my 10K. Everyone was really friendly. Cracking medal and loads of food, cake and drinks at the finish!
Darren Lewin
good event
More signage on route, try to make canal users aware event running on shared canal path. Lots of dogs off leashes running across pathways.
Excellent supply of goodies at the end of the race.

Captivating canal canter
Absolutely Beautiful scenery
An eclectic mix of folk all giving it some seriously grim welly
Delightful route
Great toilets at start and finish
Awesome treats and medals at the finish line
-
Could do with a proper sign at each turn around point
Could do with a more official finish line as the end was a little confusing
I still rate 9.9/10 though as GRIM UP NORTH ARE FAB FOLK

Perfect route for a beginners Marathon
