Fun run in the sun
Low key fun race, less stressy than a big field marathon. Ok so you share the canal towpath with others so there’s a bit of weaving at times, but this is the nature of the route (not unlike how you’d share paths with others at park runs). Nice atmosphere at start and good camaraderie on course (which helps, especially if your race isn’t going well haha). Basic refreshments on course as indicated, were fine. Thanks for a good day!

Our first time on an IGUN event and loved. Great atmosphere, friendly marshals.

Fun, friendly and fabulous bling!
These are great races for compelte beginners and seasoned runners alike. There's a no-fuss attitude to organisation (read the online material carefully), friendly marshalls, and the post-race treats are great. Loved the hot-dogs! Thanks, Team Grim!

I would have small bottles of water rather than paper cups so runners can take them with them.

Love these Grim Up North events- always really well organised and supported..Whether you are Running competitively, for a PB, for the joy of the scenery or as part of your training plan for a full or half marathon, these events can't be beaten. Thanks to all the organisers.

Super friendly, great goodies and a lovely day
My 4th IGUN event, sun was shining and it was a lovely day. People very supportive out on the course. Possibly could have done with a bit more help on registration in the morning but otherwise can't fault. I don't know who put those bridges on the otherwise flat route.
