Great race every year!
Great route. Friendly team but exactly the same medal (except the ribbon) as a previous year which was disappointing.
The reuse of medals from previous year was disappointing. A free bit of competitor food at end would be good even if just a banana. Finish line atmosphere a bit “flat”, no names called out no medal givers as you cross, just go to the table at the back.
Excellent
My 13th consecutive year and as always a well organised and friendly event.
Pleasant Marshall’s and staff.
I wouldn’t miss it and fir such a good cause. A+
Well organised and marshalled.
Totally amazing
Great event on such a special day. It’s a ten out of ten for me. I will register again and look forward to next year. It was my first one with you guys
Friendly, well organised end-of-season run. The Remembrance Service beforehand adds some gravitas and context to the event. One of my favourites.
Very much enjoyed with the exception of the last hill!
There are alternative routes for cars. The through vehicles disrupted the service. I'm sure closing the road temporarily should be possible
Lovely well organised event with a fantastic atmosphere.
I’d strongly recommend this race. Love the start, lovely route, amazing marshalls, lovely medal, great refreshments supplied by the school.
Lovely race and great Marshall’s
Hard to find the race results and photos
Brilliant
Great race for a great memorial event well worth the money
Beautiful, flat10 mile race on quiet country lanes around the scenic village of Stebbing, with a Remembrance Sunday service before the race and a lovely Remembrance themed medal.
I have run this the last few years with my husband and this year my step daughter ran it too!
Excellent well supported event
Couple of things;
Make more of a deal about the walk from the carpark to race HQ, I'd say 15 minutes and ideally you want to take your stuff with you (perhaps I'm just a bit dense and didn't pay enough attention, but it was a nuisance having to walk back.
Urns outside, rather than flasks would have been better, the coffee I had first thing was tepid, although subsequent ones were better.
I'd say the pricing was generally fine, people staffing the food stall were friendly and jovial.
Excellent that they took cards.
I had a sausage in a roll and, to be fair, it was inedible, it was almost fossilized, I don't really know how you're going to fix that, it isn't going to be possible to cook fresh each time, so I can't really offer a solution, but it was a bit disappointing.
Although all in all, a great event
Very well organised and a lovely route. Well done to everyone involved
Well organised
A bottle of water and post race snack very much needed, possibly some sweets at water stations on route for those who forgot to pack and really needed a little pick me up! Very well organised and a great event
A well organised event
It was a little bit more chaotic today (than I remember from previous years) before the start with the Remembrance service going on at the memorial, runners still walking down from the school making noise, cars trying to get through from both directions and a two minute silence. Maybe that could be looked at. Otherwise a well organised event - thanks to all involved.
Totally amazing
This is a really good route to get you to the half marathon distance. Marshals really friendly and supportive. course undulating which is good. Water stops in the right place. Would recommend it to anyone. I've ran this 6 times ... So far And i plan to carry on running it for a good few years
The whole event was fantastic! The organisers are very helpful and friendly, it was beautifully poignant atmosphere with great respect payed to our fallen hero’s on Remembrance Sunday which Im sure was in the minds of all the runners competing.
Great race with a great atmosphere & memorial service makes this a must do race
Cracking event which is really lovely following the memorial service. There just needs to be a speaker / some Marshall’s to stop the runners by the start from talking as that was a little disappointing during the silence.
One of my favourites
Thankyou, says it all
