A lovely Mixed trial run!
A run with a really nice atmosphere, centred around the local cricket field in the picturesque village of Slinfold.
The run itself is on a mix of terrain, some foot-paths (luckily because of the sun shine and warm weather not too muddy, but rutted in lots of places, so you do need to watch your footing), grass, gravel, concrete paths and tarmac. Two laps and one water station at 5k. I (being used to hilly runs in the South downs) felt it was fairly flat, others felt it was hilly. It's a run with nice variety, running along it you certainly won't be bored.
Medal at the end of the run, with tea, coffee, a bar, a kitchen selling chips, and cake stall (the toffee cakes were delicious).

Lovely cross country event - so glad it has returned - will definitely be back.
The only thing I was slightly miffed about was that the lady who got a trophy for 3rd place, was also first in the V60 category and got the trophy for that as well. So she took home 2 identical trophies, as did the first placed lady who also won the V50 trophy. A lot of races give the age category trophy to the next placed person in that category. So you could have made 2 other ladies extremely happy. Yes - I was that 2nd lady in the V60 category!! Only slightly miffed though - it was a lovely race - thank you.

A few gremlins appear to be in the results. Someone who was ahead of me at the start, I overtook, he finished after me but is two minutes ahead of me in the results

Brilliant event, lovely village feel
I did not anticipate the run to start with a climb, don't think this is a great way to get beginners motivated. Puts you at a disadvantage straight off.
