Decent local run

Needs a ice cream van and or coffee facilities and more people around the finishing area checking people are ok at the finish

Nice 5 miles, course had lots of sharp turns but overall good. Plenty of toilets but prize giving took a while

An enjoyable friendly run

A geeat way to remember Arthur. Well organised wirh lots of lovely marshals/helpers. A flat route for all abilities, flat makung it fast for the experienced runner. Well done everyone involved. I think Arthur would have liked the event. The only I noriced that was omitted that whilst a nice speech was made about Arthur should the runners have had a chance to express themselves with a round of applause?

Excellent organisation, wonderful encouragement from all marshals. Friendly, easy parking, hard to find any negatives. Hopefully will become and annual event! A fitting tribute to Arthur.

Excellent

An excellent event. Very well organised, regular emails regarding the day. The course was very well signed, no chance of going wrong as so many marshals on the course giving directions and with their amazing support made it a great event. Arthur would have been chuffed with it all. Well done Colchester Harriers.

A fantastic tribute to Arthur

This was a brilliant event. Great atmosphere among the runners and a real sense of community. The course was really good and so well marshalled - I don’t think I have ever seen so many marshals on a race before and they were all very supportive.
Really well organised and the location was perfect. I really hope this becomes an annual tribute to a great man.

Lovely tribute to our friend Arthur

Really enjoyable race which was very well organised. Parking was very easy. Lots of lovely marshals and Volunteers! A really lovely community feel in honour of our friend Arthur who was so highly thought of by all that knew him.

Just a few suggestions :-
A tshirt or medal option would have been appreciated. There were T-shirts for sale but unfortunately none small enough to fit me otherwise I would’ve purchased one.

The age categories on the results page did not reflect the age category results for the trophies. Perhaps this can be easily corrected? Us runners love stats!

It would’ve been nice to have a photographer out on the course or at the finish line.

Brilliant route, so well marshalled and amazing sense of running community!

Very well organised. Plus the Marshalls were great - encouraging and so many along the route. 10/10 let’s hope they hold this again next year. Needs to become an official race in the calendar!

A runner friendly event

Yes you have listed five year categories in the results but very few runners are allocated to these - eg v45, v55, v65 etc. I can see several runners listed in v60 including myself, Dave Wright and Peter Higgins who are all over 65. So you either need to list the results in ten categories or correctly allocate to five year categories based on their date of.birth. The former option is probably correct as the awards were presented for veterans in ten year categories I believe?

A superb runner friendly event

The results are available for runners in different age categories but there is something wrong as the five year categories eg V45, V55, V65 have just a couple of runners listed! The awards were in 10 year categories is v40, v50, v60 so runners should be categorised the same way. By way of an example myself, Dave Weight and Peter Higgins are all over 65 but are in the v60. If you want to have a v65 category then we should be in that one!

Arthur would have been proud!

Thanks so much for a great event. Clearly a lot of effort had gone into ensuring that everything went smoothly. Fast, flat course with excellent backup and encouragement from marshalls. Informative email communication providing full details in good time ahead of the event. Hard to find fault but, if I had to, it would be great to add a baggage storage facility. Am hoping that this becomes a popular, regular event.
