Great event loved the hills
HIilly event. Lots of support. Protein based snack is needed at the end
First rate
Tough race only tolerable by great support around the course
Friendly and organised
Well run event, clearly organised and marshalled by runners, who know what other runners want and need. Excellent communication pre event. Main gripe for me would be the route. It’s beautiful, and the left side of the road is clearly closed, but you do get (very considerate) oncoming traffic, which isn’t cone’d off. Some might find it a bit un nerving. If this isn’t an issue for you, then it’s an excellent event.
Excellent marshals very supportive. Great to have pacers. Nicely place water stops on the way round
Would of been nice to have a pacer for 2:30 on the day.
great race but not for the faint hearted!!
Adequate ammount of toilets for once!
Really well organised
Great facilities, route was decent. Only the one massive hill thankfully! A very enjoyable experience all around
Lots of volunteers and very well organised
Great half marathon with a massive hill
Tough but lovely
Brilliant in every respect
None
Great! Excellent organisation, lovely atmosphere.
So many marshals all along the route. Amazing! Really impressive and supportive.
Lovely HM on a hilly course
Very nice race
Please organize the toilets better next year
Great race, lovely course
Bottles rather than cups would be good. I hate bananas and nothing to eat apart from bananas?
Fun run
Toilets & metal medals
Expertly Organised
A very slick, well attended and extremely well-staffed event. Support for runners, all the way around the course, from Marshalls and the public, was amazing. I've never scoffed so many Jelly Babies offered by the very friendly residents along the route. There was plenty of space to run on the shut-off roads, and the support down the final 2 miles was epic.
Tough half but well oo
Well run event
A pleasantly challenging half!
Cars and lack of road closures are a problem. Many cars trying to cut through runners at Fordcombe and Langton - the management of this needs to be more aggressive. The lack of road closure at St John’s when there is ample space to push traffic to the east side of the road (using the bus lane), but instead runners are compressed into a cycle lane and cannot run on the pavement due to pedestrians and well-wishers. Here, again, cars are trying to cut across the runners into closed side streets. The closures need to be far more aggressive - motorists are warned weeks in advance.
Hard run for the second half
Very well marshalled
