It's been a few years since i last ran this race but still a great event
The traffic management in the final mile needs improving. Only a narrow section of road cordoned off by cones, so little room to pass other runners, and i had to run in traffic or on the pavement.

A staple race i do every year
This year like all other years i have run it was well organised and a tough undulating course. Only difference this year which could be improved on is this was the 1st ywar they didnt do a free tshirt included and the medal was wooden this year, i prefer the metal medals, so it just felt a bit like cost cutting this year but those cost cuts were not passed onto the runners

Fantastic but challenging event
The Tunbridge Wells half marathon is the first event I add to my calendar each year. Some years ago, I entered this as my first ever race in preparation for the Paris Marathon. Since then I have been hooked. I have now returned another seven times to take part, and I drive down from Hertfordshire!
The organisation is fantastic, from the booking through to car parking, number collection, bag drop off, and of course marshalling of the event itself.
The course is challenging but well supported (where does Tunbridge find that many volunteers to Marshall).

Very well organised half marathon.
Extremely well organised event, a good course with some demanding bits, friendly crowd.
As a novice runner it was a pleasure to join the friendly crowd at the TW half for a well organised race day. From arrival through bag-drop to the starting position, water stations, directions and finish it was all smooth sailing. The course itself is pretty good with mostly decent country and village scenery. The mid-way point has the "infamous" uphill section which, if you prepare for, isn't quite as bad as I had expected (still a tough challenge though). Really enjoyed the event.
great value friendly half marathon
This is the second time I've done the Tunbridge Wells half. I've done around 20 and it is close to being my favourite half. Not badly priced, good route and beer at the end. Will be back.
