Great day, good organisation, very friendly villagers cheering and clapping, several bands - a choir, a reggae band, and free beer in the final mile. The Harriers smothered themselves in glory.
Great event and well organised.
I thought it was the best medal I have received after a run!
Good atmosphere, well organised race
Really appreciated the plentiful marshals (and their support) and the numerous water stops. Also the well organised bag drop and checking that we had all taken the correct bags at the end. Great to have changing facilities available and plenty of loos.
Only complaint was about the ambulance that crawled just ahead of us for a couple of miles during the race. Understand the need for health and safety, but exhaust fumes were unpleasant and off-putting, and proximity of moving vehicle to runners was sometimes intimidating, especially if you are a slower runner.
In all, though, positives outweighed the negatives by a long way. It was a very enjoyable event.
No toilets on the course for a half marathon is disgrace. Almost cried halfway, as I really needed to go. Saw many man going to bushes, but what to do for women. I don't think it was very difficult to put few toilet stations on the route.
Always a well run event, if a hard route.
Fantastic race
Extremely well organised, beautiful route , will definitely be back .
Thanks to all the volunteers
Hilly love
This half is an incredible half marathon, brilliantly organised with the new lovely personal touch of your name being called out at the finish line! I love the hills, but may put off beginners if not expecting them... (Fordcombe). But I recommend this to all!
Great scenery but with a couple of cheeky hills!
My first time on the TW Half. Nice route with good road closures and traffic management. A couple of quite challenging hills but once you are over them, the last 3 or 4 miles are a relatively flat finish. Great support all round the route.
Challenging course but worth the effort
A hilly route that takes you out into the heart of the countryside but don't let that make you think there is no support! There were so many marshals out there, all cheering and friendly and they almost pushed you up the hills. A friendly welcome for all out there and a superb event!
Brilliantly organised, one to with a friend or group if it’s your first time
Amazing atmosphere, challenging course, great organisation as always
