Brilliant Event
Heavy congestion at entry to single track lap1 doesn't lose you position but loses >5 minutes.
80+ category give all those in their 70s some hope for the future. Having a 70+ cat has bought your entries up from 3 of us 7 years ago to 13 this year try to keep everyone going, you'll be there sooner than you think.

The course is really something to experience for all types of riders. You can make it a hard as you want but you will almost certainly enjoy it!

Fantastic event with bikes and beach!
Loved everything, the course and the organisation was great! I especially liked the three different off-beach laps. I'm relatively slow, and I didn't feel like I got lapped at all. I do have a couple of small suggestions, though they shouldn't be seen an criticism!
- the area for feeding etc was quite narrow, which was difficult if you had to stop to self-feed, eg pick up bottles from beneath the fence, or to fix something on the bike. Could there be a 'pits' lane/zone, where you pull off the course to do that instead?
- some clarification about course pre-riding would have been great - is it allowed, and when? (Including for Bitd)
- I'd have loved a coffee van to turn up on the campsite in the morning (walking over to the arena was fine too)
- the pizza people took a long time to make pizza! Could there be a second one?
(I've said 'maybe' to beginner-friendliness, because it depends on the type of beginner. Bitd was surprisingly technical.)
Also, only rated as 'good' in value, because of the high add-on ticket fees, which cam a bit as a surprise. I understand you likely can't do much about that!

The course was incredible
There was one bottleneck but that is to be expected with an event of this size.
Maybe could do with a few more toilets

Top day of hard riding
A neutral drinks station end of the lap would have been useful. Even just water so you can top up a bottle. (Yes I lost my 2nd drinks bottle)

Battle on the Beach is an absolute blast. Perfect for those riders who have done some off-road riding and are ready to take part in their first event right through to seasoned pros looking for a season opener. The atmosphere is fun, with great catering and sponsor tents to have a look round at the event hub.
