No matter how big your event or race is there is no reason you can't use the latest technology to help increase your entries. We have started to introduce Facebook ads into our service here at eventrac and we have found that many Race Organisers aren't aware of the benefits. You may see some of the big global events companies covering your Facebook news feed with ads, sponsored links and promoted events and think that this kind of marketing is either out of your budget or out of your league, but this isn't the case. Whether you are targeting a global audience or 5 miles down the road from your local 10k there are ways you can utilise the power of this generation changing social media platform to attract new entrants to your race.

Matt from the eventrac team took the time to speak to Sublime Racing to assess what would work for them. We started from as low as £10 per day to help target the local area and the key towns around Downham Market, making sure that we only put the ad in front of runners that were comfortable with the 10k distance and lived close enough to make it on the Bank Holiday race day. The smarter you approach these ads the better conversion rates you will achieve and the less you will pay for these acquisitions.

We think all Event Organisers deserve the chance to be introduced to new ways of marketing and advertising their events without the worry of dramatically increasing their marketing spend and we will continue to support organisers on the eventrac platform when you try these new things.
